I expected a lot of tieflings dancing, the kids running around, maybe a few to romance, sing and play card games with.

Kind of like RDR2 before ending the night with one of the companions.
Although those ones are a bit too rushed so I think maybe they should be skipped in the first place.

At most maybe they can nod in approval or shake their head in disappointment how much of a party animal my character is.

And maybe thats a good chance for some initial real flirting from the companions rather than going for their desperate horniness they have now.

I didnt get that far in the evil route yet but maybe nothing I have read indicated you can party with Minthara or Sazza.

It's true. Not terribly missing, but if you make a cinematic game, make it cinematic

Larian's Biggest Oversight, what to do about it, and My personal review of BG3 EA
"74.85% of you stood with the Tieflings, and 25.15% of you sided with Minthara. Good outweighs evil, it seems."

This has been said before and I totally agree. Party feels dead, it needs more dancing, a drinking game, some people fighting in the mud and louder music.

Regarding the evil route:
There is a Goblin Party, and its feels a bit more lively. And you can bed Minthara.

This is a consistent issue with these sorts of CRPGs...reference Skyrim's "epic" battles between Imperials and Stormcloaks...oh maybe 20 people. Truly big scenes like we'd want are difficult to pull off, so I wouldn't personally put too high a priority on this.

I mean... ok... but then again Goblin Camp was a literal army with NPCs doing things everywhere.
If they can do that, they can pull the same thing off here and I don't think its fair to compare a 2011 Bethesda game to anything coming out in 2020.

Especially when its a Bethesda game.

I felt the opposite, it felt even less lively, especially since most of the NPCs were unnamed. Odd compared to the actual party you see at the goblin's camp.

I agree. What bothers me most is that all companions suddenly basically ask you if you want to have sex with them. I think it makes sense for Astarion, bc he just seems like the kind of guy, but for all else it feels... rushed, unrealistic...
Like Eddiar sad, would be nice if those that you have a good relationsship with would start to slowly flirt with you at this occasion, but nothing more.

not made it that far playing to many characters currently. But I have seen the goblin camp, and it already seems like a party, so if the Tiefling party which by numbers has fewer people in it, they should be able to spice it up. Have the children playing a game, Chicken Chasing! or something. have people singing and dancing, maybe snogging over in the corner what ever. Plus they are celebrating it should be lively, should be interacting. let me make my con saves to see how drink I get... (incidently if I take one drink from a single beverage I roll 3's. If I double fist it 18... how is that possible)
