Hey,
Maybe I am missing something, but...
Is there a way to target multiple characters with the bless spell for example?

Using bless at level 1 should bless 3 targets, but if I have 4 characters in the area of effect I am unable to chose which 3 will be blessed. (same with bane)

The spell description for bless and bane says it targets "up to 3" creatures, which implies it may be a dice roll that determines how many creatures are affected.

If that's how it works (and I'm not 100% sure), then it makes sense it wouldn't allow you to manually select the targets like you can with Magic Missile. It will just choose random targets based on the roll, and you may not get all three.

It always gets 3. Just not letting me really chose which 3. I also know which ones are going to be affected (indicated by the circle below the player).
I don't think its a dice roll. It shouldn't be.

You're right, I was thinking Bane might have a saving throw but I guess not.
