To keep it vague, what do you guys think of the certain resurrection system we can find somewhere? I for one am not too much of a fan of being able to keep resurrecting characters even if we leave them behind, makes it even worse if there's a chance to miss the system copletely.
I'd say remove the certain character that is able to help us with this, permadeath isn't a bad thing, considering we should think about consequences...

There likely will be an iron man mode on the full release. Permadeath should probably be restricted to that difficulty.

Permadeath should be in Normal, you can remove it in Story Mode. Scrolls of Revivify should only be usable by Clerics, Paladins and Druids - and should still cost 300g on cast, and should have a DC15 Wisdom Check if you do not have access to level 3 spells yet.

I think the amount of resurrection scrolls should be drastically reduced. In DnD 5e, resurrecting someone is incredibly rare since this spell is high level and scrolls are rare.

Well, remove one or the other.
Either you have the "special nameless someone" and the raise scrolls are super rare OR there are some rare scrolls and the nameless one would do something else (could be a cool diviner [tips/visions], remover of curses, etc.).
nb : That said, for Early Access where we test the hard combat (every fight, almost, can be deadly with some bad luck), I think they purposefully made the scrolls accessible and with a few free.
ps : I used it once and have over 10 scrolls in my Inventory. :P

Absolutely fucking not to all of that. Do you know how many posts I see going "I rely entirely on autosaves and never save at all, and now I've lost hours of progress"? Players can be dumb, and it is an extremely bad idea to force all players in "Normal" difficulty or higher into Iron Man, "no mistakes" mode. The party is limited to 4, and there's likely to be only one of Cleric, Paladin, or Druid, and if they're the ones that died, what do to then, exactly? Permadeath works in tabletop where the dead player can come back in at the next tavern with a different, exciting backstory. Here, at best you can replace an interesting origin with a generic silent mercenary. Your idea is terrible for a videogame.

"People are stupid, so we should make this game for stupid people" How about people actually learn to be careful what they do, instead? Don't have some dumb "special nameless someone" offer relatively cheap resurrections with seemingly no other restrictions. Or would you want an "Auto-win" button for every fight because people are too stupid to win?

This is not a 1:1 recreation of the tabletop rules. It is a videogame, it is not being made exclusively for hardcore D&D "grognards". I am telling you the reality, that are going to be people who don't save as often as they should, and if you have permadeath in the normal difficulties, there will be a lot of complaints. There will likely be a permadeath mode or option for those who want it. But not everyone wants it as a part of normal gameplay, and it should not be forced onto everyone because you happen to want it. Your stupid strawman is stupid.

That will be an important lesson to them, then. Besides, no idea why you're attacking me when you're suggesting the exact same thing under a different name.

As a matter of personal taste I simply dislike resurrection mechanics and I never relied on them, not even in the old games. I always felt that any fight where one of my characters was downed was a fight that I managed poorly and I needed to learn to do better (yup, can't say I have any problems with "savescumming").
That's a fairly long premise to say: I'd be all for making resurrections harder to come by, but it's not going to happen, so do whatever you want. I'm probably not going to care since I won't make any use of any of it, anyway.
