An Eder-type companion would be great. He was so un-special and it was nice.
Eder was Minsc-Tier for me, companion-wise.
It'll be a shame if we don't get an amazing, happy-go-lucky or jokingly fun companion in this game. And not the kind that intentionally tries to make jokes; Eder and Minsc were just being them, and it was fun and funny, sometimes touching and sad.
I hope we get someone like that if there are more companions. Volo is a bit of this, but he's not a Bard I can take with me on my adventure (Or I absolutely would).
