I think these forums need to be more secure, they emailed me my password, not even any encryption on it at all XD. Plus it would be nice to set an icon that is not trash resolution, I can't use my art for my icons because the icon size is too damn small.
Passwords aren't stored as plaintext, at least (and don't use something ineffective like DES either) but I admit that sending them via SMTP is not ideal. It isn't configurable, frustratingly. However, changing one's password after registration
doesn't send a plaintext copy anywhere.
120×120px is a fairly normal size for forum icons; any larger than that would cause problems with the formatting.
