I will not use spoiler tags this time. You have been warned!

I am aware that at least some of these issues are known already, but I couldn't find threads for all of them, so I'll list them here, roughly in the order, they're encountered in the game. Also I am playing the German steam version, some of these may not exist on other platforms and in other languages.

Edit: I found all of this, playing a male Drow Fighter (Eldritch Knight) as the player character. Companions were, for the most part, Asterion, Wyll and Shadowheart.

So here is a list of mistakes, bugs and suggestions I noticed on my second, way more thorough playthrough so far:

  • In character creation, when picking the cleric class and choosing a deity, the name of Bane has been translated. While I find that funny, the dead three aren't known for their sense of humor, so I wouldn't want your localization team to anger the god of hate.
  • In the save game menu the term "steam cloud" has also been translated. Also funny, I'd actually leave it that way.
  • When equipping helmets, after loading a game or a new area, the characters' hair will be displayed regularly and clip through the helmets. I noticed that with leather helmets, as well as heavy ones. This happened on DirectX 11, I didn't try Vulkan.
  • Likewise doors seem to forget, which animation status they're supposed to load. After leaving the area or just being far enough away, the doors will look as if they are closed, but their state will still correctly be open, so it basically looks, like you are able to walk through a closed door. Again, DirectX 11, I didn't try Vulkan.
  • Some skill checks fail if the DC is matched. I have found 2 cases so far: When talking to Nettie and she tries to poison you by force, there is a dialogue option for Intimidate. Difficulty was 10 and rolling a 10 failed the die roll. Likewise when talking to Minthara (before talking to Dror Ragzlin) and telling her you're after Halsin, she asks, what you know about him. The deception check there has the same issue, it had a DC 10 and failed when I rolled a 10.
  • On that note the display of the DC seems to be inconsistent. I did a lot of save scamming (for science!) using the spell guidance and that produced very different DCs, even when the boni, displayed in the DC's mouse over tool tip were the same. I don't know, whether that's an actual bug, or a display error.
  • Guidance also doesn't seem to work sometimes. The spell's German description says, that you can add 1d4 to an ability roll of your choice, however in Waukeen's Rest, when trying to break in the doors to the burning building, the strength roll did not get modified at all. On the other hand, skill rolls usually get a bonus.
  • Wyll's class, Warlock, has been translated as "Hexenmeister" in the German version. In previous D&D based games "Hexenmeister" was the translation for the Sorcerer class, while Warlock was translated as "Hexer". I this case I'm not sure if this is intended, because I didn't read German 5e rule books, but if the Sorcerer class gets added to the game, this should probably be looked at.
  • This is a feature request to bring the classes closer to their 5e original. Many people asked this for Rogues, but other classes seem to be missing things as well. For example Eldritch Knights are supposed to get the Weapon Bond Ritual at level 3, preventing them from being disarmed of the bonded weapon and allowing them to summon it to their hand as long as it's on the same plane of existence. It would be cool if such features could be included.
  • In Waukeen's Rest Shadowheart somehow got stuck in a patch of fire and got K.O.-ed there. Helping her up, without just letting her die and using a resurrection scroll was a pain, so I entered turn based mode, helped her up and then immediately teleported to camp. When I got back, she did not follow the party, couldn't move and, in fact, didn't have any actions. Saving and reloading brought her back to normal.
  • Finally I'd like to repeat other players' request to tone down the use of elemental interactions, which result in area effects like fire. Such interactions are cool, but should be used more sparingly, ideally as a way for strategic players, in order to shorten large scale battles. In smaller encounters with 5 or less enemies, they are too powerful or too annoying, depending on the player's luck with the AI.
  • Edit: I was unable to pick up the letter to Kagha, which can be found in the twisted tree in the swamp. Reading it, did add the journal entry but none of my characters can take it. Sending it to the camp did work, but I was unable to find it there. I haven't been able to test yet, whether or not this influences the progress of the quest line.

Sorry for any duplicates, I hope this helps and keep up the good work!
