I hope there to be more fights like Minotaur fight in the full release.

The fight is completely doable with right characters and right setup. No cheese needed. I didn't even have the cleric to heal my team. I turned my wizard a semi-healer because, GOD!, Shadowheart is too annoying to be in my party.

My comp was: Ranger (PC) + Wizard + Warlock + Fighter

I was wandering headfirst with my whole team in Underdark then I fell victim to this ambush. I didn't reload a safe save. I continued as it was because I made a mistake and I had to deal with the consequence just like in a table-top game.

I took it as a very good opportunity to test my teams resolve.

I really like this fight, it was an ambush style combat that requires a saving dice roll not to fall into it ( I mean I guess because my not survivor ranger PC failed the roll).

I was expecting some ambush in the game especially in underdark given it's reputation and from the get go I made my fighter a bit tanky and rest of my team is geared towards utility and heavy burst damage. Let me give you a example: Wizard with hex and scorching ray can deal very impressive burst damage. All you have to is to keep him alive couple of turns then blast the minotaurs with the help from a potion of speed.

This was the fight which ate up a lot of stuff that had been just resting in my bag.

I have to admit I reload the fight couple times but not because I expected a loss because I enjoyed it very much so that I wanted to try different defence and offence combinations to get from being hunted to being hunter.

I really really wish Larian prepare more fights like this for the full release. It really felt like I am playing a DnD game.

PS: Always examine the enemy. Knowing Minotaurs have vulnerability to bludgeoning damage helped a lot.

Yes I agree. There should be more surprise battles, especially in the underdark.

Yeah you don't reload in DnD Tabletop btw. If you die that's it. So.

The fight can take you by surprise, but I don't mind it at all.
At lvl4 it's not all that difficult to be honest. Heck I think my first group took it on at lvl3, with just three members (Multi player, no Origin characters, Fighter, Warlock Rogue with sub optimal builds), then it was a bit... tough, but we managed it on the first try.

*Larian cancels game*

What is the problem you are solving? Does your proposed change solve the problem? Is your change feasible? What else will be affected by your change? Will your change impact revenue? Does your change align with the goals and strategies of the organizations (Larian, WotC)?

It was arguably my least favorite encounter so far, and incidentally difficulty wasn't really the reason for it.

I generally didn't like how it looked (possibly the worst model and animation set for a monster in early access), how it played out in terms of believability (jumping twenty meters, doing weird comet impact effects and so on... those didn't look like the moves i expected by a minotaur) and how out of nowhere it came from.
Everything about this felt... Unpolished.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN

It is not out of nowhere. You can spot them beforehand if you scout the area before wandering into it. after that, you can pick the fight you wanna fight.

Jumping is fine. Lae2zel can jump insane distances too.
