Wonder if these items are actually there just as food for him or if it's a case of "They don't seem particularly useful now" but you would regret it later.

Still, we had another thread about this and I'll say the same thing: this kind of "addiction" can be justified only if in the process of eating magic items he gains some permanent buff (i.e. more spell slots, increased stats), otherwise Larian is creating a character that will be regularly served the boot from most players.

You cost me a blue item every now and then, you better give me something amazing in return.
