Please, just consider removing gimmicks like this before the full release.

For me, the main reason to remove it, aside from just being a ludicrous mechanic, is that enemies don't use it. At least I've never noticed it. There should be no exploits the player can use that the enemy AI can't also use. The AI is already at a huge disadvantage against a skilled player, unless they have large numbers to compensate. And I really don't want to see enemies dipping their weapons in acid or fire against me, either.
