Maybe "fun" was poor choice of word ... but my point was this spell have no use (that i know about) in combat.
I dont think that is in any way different thank talk to dead ...
Maybe there is something that i just dont see yet, but i would prefer them to cost simmilar, when they work simmilar.
Also ... when you drink potion of talk to animals, you have it active until long rest with no way to interupt. :-/
