The game is so easy and i rarely get any dmg so i just keep sending everything over there. You never need gold to buy anything because of how abusable the stealing is. The loot system was and still is one of the worst aspects of the D:OS System.

The issue with that, for me, is making use of quest items and utility items. First time I entered the burning inn I figured I'd need a fire resistance potion (I pretty much never use them, but carry them around for special occasions). If you find keys or quest items that you can't use straight away, you still need them readily accessible if you run across their (not always obvious) place of use.

^ Keys, could and should be solved by a keychain, maybe greying out the keys that are no longer relevant. That is something that I think all RPGs should have, especially when they treat keys as separate entities, instead of keychains.
As for bag inside inventory, as long as I can sort stuff somehow I'm satisfied. It could be as simple as gem bags for gems and jewellery, scrolls or a pouch for the (possible) quest items.

This forum needs a like but since it doesent.... *like*

Yeah we really need more ways to manage our inventory and barrels just sitting in our backpack is kinda....odd. I get it in DOS games but given this is supposed to be a dnd game....

I have had players ask if they could pick up and take things with them as well and a simple 'how do you intend to take it with you?' basicly makes them go 'yea nvm thats not going to work'. I mean, I dont discourage taking loot with you, but if you are halfway through a dungeon and you want to take a painting with you. Well go ahead. But how do you intend to fight with it in your hands? If after combat you quikly go back to town, pick up a cart and then double back. Sure, that works. I often suggest it to them even! It makes sense and carts are something that should be something thats common in the setting.

Now I understand its gameified and all and it doesent want the player to have to think about something like that but a filled barrel shouldnt be something that you can pick up easily. That shits heavy!

If we can have 10 plate armors in our pockets, barrel also will fit.
