Is the axe "slasher" named such or do i have to pass every axe to the orce to get him to try them. i think he only does this twice before he goes balistic. is the reward worth it or should i just keep the axe?

It is called Slasher; if you identify it, you can talk to the orc without any axes in your inventory, but still 'give' the axe to him. The reward is a completed quest and experience points.

Slasher is in a sub level on level 2, under a tile (about half way between entrance to level 2 and the stairs down to level 3).

just keep the axe, and kll the orcs!
