Absolutely.
+1 id echo sadurian - theorycrafting suggestions/feedback for an ea game is what forums like this are all about. sure it can be difficult to interpret tone in a forum and ppl, myself included, can get passionate, but for the most part we all should be using the ea as an opportunity to post, debate, counterpoint, and come up with suggestions about what we both like/dislike about the game in a collective effort to make bg3 the bg3 that ppl have waited on for years and just trust that larian can distinguish for themselves what feedback they should pay closest attention to. you are nowhere near in the minority btw, there actually has been several threads posted similarly about goblins, aasimar, vhuman, etc. so larian has to know there is a demand for more racial options and there are deep gnomes models too that are already in game, so i think restricting ourselves to just phb races may be shortsighted, considering there is a whole 5e sourcebook based on this region of the FR - in particular, i would be surprised if there wasnt a githzerai option at some point given their lore/relation to the githyanki, but that may be something larian is waiting to reveal

pertaining to kobolds, i think folks bring up some valid points we can agree on in terms of how to integrate 'monsterous' races into the current storyline and where kobolds as pcs (and goblins, hobgoblins, and bugbears - oh my) fall as a priority for larian at this stage in the game development, but i also agree that it would be neat to have those additional racial options as a player since the models are already in game. as others have mentioned, modders have already begun to add to the game and so we can likely rely on modders to add these options down the road if not at launch, but i think that it would just open up more gameplay options and the 'replayability' factor that often comes up in these forums with more racial choices, including kobolds (Deekin Scalesinger anyone?)

also, thinking of modders, i hope larian has plans to give some love to modders to make it a little easier to implement these changes - in particular if there are any dm like tools to create your own campaign in the FR, but that is likely something that wouldnt be considered until further down the line (if at all - idk how wotc would feel about that lol)
