I agree with everything.
It would be great, but if I had to choose I'll talk more abou the voice of companions and their sentences because it's a litte bit ridiculous atm. They just never open their mouth... your suggestion would lead to "more BG" but also to way more interresting and engaging characters.
I'll add that it would be great if the fast travel system was not about TP /ancient runes lolz. It could work on the worldmap, which is designed a little bit like the maps of BG1/2.
That would be a great, way more immersive and an easy "BG taste" inside their new gen game.
I'll also like beautifull portrait instead of those awfull 3D models.
But I really think Larian totally don't care about BG 1/2.
I'm even not sure they played it, remember it and/or understand why they are special in the head of so many people... (Even if there as many reasons as it have players).
It seems like they reject everything that looks "like" BG. They sold it like "yea yea you'll find BG elements, old fans will be pleased" blablabla... But we'll probably only have Minsc and Boo and nothing more... Even the most easy things, they won't do it... Even the things that will greatly improve their game, they won't do it... And that's a shame.
