This is fashion souls, not dark souls! I want nice looking gear too. I was fine with it my first playthrough when I was a hobo ranger but the worn leather really did not suit my noble rogue character. And when you get the +1 version of it, it looks the same. I get why it looks the same but it's just a bummer that there's no visual difference between the one that says it has pit stains and the supposedly "nice" one. I do agree that part of this issue seems to stem (at least partially) from loot sparsity. The drow gear looks cool but the rest of the gear I've found looks like the default gear or the same as Lae'zel's. Meh.
Wouldn't it be nice to have two or three versions of the same armour and outfits; one brand new and one looking battered. You could also add it a 'repaired' version. Each version displays as appropriate (and an easy in-game use for
Prestidigitation. Pie in the sky, of course, but a nice idea.
