I initially thought you had said Space 1889 and then was disappointed.
I loved Space 1889 and still have plans to run another game. I also occasionally put on a Sky Galleons of Mars tabletop aerial wargame. Space 1999... not so much. We were travelling around the world during those years and mainly had non-UK TV to watch (military family so lots of foreign postings) Although I did have a die-cast Corgi Eagle transporter which saw a lot of action.
