Just beat the hag today on the 3rd try. And really enjoyed the fight and storyline leading up to it.
Good job making the hag creepy.

I'm not sure how I felt about the fight, while it was definitely satisfying to finally beat her (with all characters but gale down he popped out of a fog cloud and got a lucky shockwave that knocked her down the hole, screaming like Darth Sidieous.
But wow, hardest fight in the game in my opinion.
The first time I fought her was at max level (4) with good gear and she wiped my entire party and killed the girl I was meant to rescue before I got a turn on a single character, and Asterion was in my party with a Dex of 19.

Second time through I stealthed in one character at a time and immediately popped a fog cloud. Then played some hit and run, jumping out to attack, then running back in the cloud game.
This worked for a while but then she caught me on a round with my cloud down and smashed most of my party.
Only a very lucky shockwave took here out.

I'm thinking there might be another way to take out her duplicates with magic missiles or something, but I don't know, she makes them really fast.
Has anyone won this fight without mad steath usage? I'm not sure it's possible with the level 4 cap.

If you wan to to cheese it, go into stealth and youll see her vision cone to the left where shes invisible. Sneak someone to that spot, have someone else go out of stealth, and while she in conversation swap back and shove her off into the pit. Ez!

edit: and hexing her or putting another status on her lets you focus her. If you use stealth and do 1 person attacking her at a time you can take her down in 2 rounds.

What is the problem you are solving? Does your proposed change solve the problem? Is your change feasible? What else will be affected by your change? Will your change impact revenue? Does your change align with the goals and strategies of the organizations (Larian, WotC)?

Actually, the easiest way to win against the hag is to get rid of her clones asap. Illusions hit as hard as the real hag but has just 1 hp. Use void bombs (very wide aoe) from the spelljammer ship to kill 2 clones in one action, then concentrate on the hag. If you sacrificed an eye earlier to her, you always know, which hag is the real one, or apply any effect on the hag. This is not a "cheese", and makes a fight easy.

I cannot properly express how much I love this community sometimes. Everyone has a unique and effective strategy. You guys are the best. The combat encounters are by far the one aspect of the game I appreciate the most.

Well done all around.

My super cheesy way. LVL 4 STR based dual wielding thief Solo'ed her before she made it through her fireplace. Jumped onto outer deck from outside, stealthed in applied wyvern poison to warhammers. Backstab surprise (with 96% chance to hit), both hammers hit, then both offhand bonus attacks hit all applying 7D6 poison. After first round she is down from 130 something to 30ish HP's. Triggers convo where she banishes girl to cage in basement and starts combat as hag. I go first, jump behind her and backstab again and finish her off.
