I have an assumption that the Absolute is just a proxy of Lolth who plays with tadpoles, they are one and the same. The following things speak in favor of this:
1.) Goblins do not attack drow because "the drow bears the seal of the absolute." Lolth believes she has rights over all drow.
2.) Minthara talks about returning to Menzoberranzan under the control of Lolth's clerics, as if she would be greeted there with honors and not executed for not serving Lolth.
3.) Betrayal of a character who helps the Absolute is pointless, but it's very Lolth's style to give such an order.
4.) Minthara mentions "test of the absolute" - "test" is a typical mechanic for Lolth, other gods have not been seen in such perversions (https://www.realmshelps.net/charbuild/races/elf/drow2.shtml)
5.) Minthara gives us Drider to help us as if she were actually a cleric of Lolth
6.) She has a Lolth tattoo on her neck (is that a Lolth cult tattoo?)
7.) From the slain drow worshipers of Lolth, a small spider crawls out, very much like a tadpole.
8.) Her eyes is red

I would not like this, but other players' guesses are interesting. It is also obvious that the Shar also has something to do with this.

Perhaps she served another god of the Dark Seldarine before?
Or did Lolth serve, but disown her in favor of the Absolute?
That is, Minthara does not know about the tadpole, nor about the role of Lolth, and may be very surprised in the future.

This raises a number of unanswered questions. What are your assumptions about the relationship between Minthara and Lolth?

Minthara is also from House Baenre, the same Drow House Jarlaxle was born in, she confirms this when you speak to her after she is dead, so she is indeed a Lolth-Sworn drow.

The prospect of a return to Menzo definitely does not make sense unless

a) she was serving Lolth's designs all along or

b) she thinks she has the backing of a power greater than Lolth and all of Menzo, which is ludicrous, but then again she is pretty crazy, so who knows.

The goblins are already convinced the Absolute is a greater power than Maglubiyet so Minthara thinking it is more powerful than Lolth is not out of the question. At the moment it is rather poorly conveyed to the player though. Raphael has about as much power as the Absolute judging by what we experience from both ingame.

Also, bear in mind that the PC and his party are convinced the Absolute is an Illithid hoax.

I examined Minthara through the trade window, her race is listed as "Lolth-Sworn Drow". When Lolth was abandoned, her eyes must have stopped being red like the drow of the Seldarine, right?
This confirms the theory that Lolth and Absolute are at least allies.

When you play *as* a Llolth Sworn Drow, then Speak-with-Animals on the captive spiders - They reveal that Minthara has in fact, betrayed Llolth in favor of the Absolute. [Perhaps you could do this with Disguise Self, unsure]

I also think the lore says that lolth made her drow have red eyes to make them scary.

Lolth or Drow wouldn't have access to netherese magic as far as I am aware. The only race with access to this magic would be extraordinarily powerful elder archmages or the netherese. Powerful mages would have limited access to such magic though research etc. but enough to manipulate illithid tadpoles? Considering the netherese exploded their entire civilisation (4 small factions of netherese left apparently) trying to become gods I dunno.

On a sidenote wouldn't Drow who betrayed Lolth lose their red eyes? (blessing of Lolth).
