I also find it way to cheap (200gp) to revive a fallen comrade. Death
should be an actual threat. Sometimes you may have to just leave a
character dead and move on.

But about the revives... On one side - yes. On another I believe they have companions possible deathes plotted, so they most likely giving us that opportunity to keep them alive to kill them later with all the dramatic effect. So it's one of those conflicts between making it dramatic epic and making it perfect mechanics-wise, which I'm not daring to touch. Maybe I'm wrong. In this case, permadeath for companions should be there at least on higher difficulty.
