Well, when I heard the name "Riftrunner" at first I thought of Raymond E. Feists "Riftwar Saga". And from the short description, the rifts here seem to be a connection between two worlds, too. Is that an intended parallelity or unintentionally and just an imagination from me?

Well, I think it isn't intended, a rift is something that is described as a "crack" in the matter of the universe, so Feists riftwar was also based on the existing concept of a "rift" ...

Maybe this is a dumb suggestion, but maybe a rift runner could be later on called a "rift spawn" or "rift lord" depending on power. The name "runner" suggests running away and evading, which is what low level characters do. At higher levels, might it be possible to harness or even control the power of the rift?

Waiting impatiently for it. I've been lurking on their forums for quite a while.

I've been reading on the AoW Heavengames Forums. Maybe you recognized my name, although I post rarely there.

So Rose, do you often make suggestions to developers that could risk them being sued for plagiarism?

My question to the Larians: does the name Riftrunner also have a double (metaforic) meaning?

Sure, all the time! Hey, if they can make a tribute to Drizzt and Cattie-Brie, why not to Merlin?

Riftrunner: One who tries to run through rifts. And gets bounced back. And tries again.

I don't know.

I don't think that expression is known in Belgium or in Germany, for example.
