ok in the Hags lair, there is a standing mirror with some guy trapped in it. He is still there even after hag dies, and it was important enough there is a minor cutscene for it when you view in the mirror. Anyone figure out how to free him?

So far I've seen the scrying elf aprreciating being freed from the Hag's influence, the petrified dwarf being relieved that he's not dead with additional dialogue for arcane/medicine, the mask-wearing individuals engagin in conversation (one of them reacts well to the hag's death and will travel to BG, two potentially attack you when speaking to them).
I have not yet seen any further interaction wtih the creature locked in the mirror or the lady with her head in her hands.

Hmm I tried breaking the mirror prior to killing her and got some kind of nasty curse. I wonder if doing the same thing after she was dead would be different?

Hmm, will have to try to break it now that she is dead. As for the ones wearing the mask, I killed all but 2 of them, the other 2 i was able to knock unconscious, but when I got back only one was alive after hag was dead and rested.

broke mirror, got a debuff I think. killed headless stasis person, got a creepy head to carry in inventory that I cant do anything with. stole the skull, kinda neat bc I can trigger Auntie's dialogue description whenever I click on it in inventory. I dont think there is anything to be done with the mirror as of yet. There is also another wall that looks like the illusory door for the underdark portal in Auntie's lair that doesn't work as a door.

I think the solution -if any- is something of a puzzle; related to the potions you find in Ethel's laboratory, or whatever hags call that room. The Basilik Extract is obvious; the headless guy is probably beyond saving.. But the mirror guy? I'm going to try again. Some Clerical spells might do it,
Fear my wrath, for it is great indeed.

I messed around with that mirror for SOOO long. Got to the point where I was trying to put mirrors in front of the mirror so his reflection would be reflected in another, unenchanted, mirror and hed be free. Tried every non destructive spell I could...hmm actually I just thought of something. I wonder if I could take the iron flask that has the spectator in it, release the spectator, kill it, and use the iron flask to capture that creature in it and then release him *rubs chin*
edit: Update, cannot reuse flask after it has been unstoppered. So, thats a negative. Boo.

What is the problem you are solving? Does your proposed change solve the problem? Is your change feasible? What else will be affected by your change? Will your change impact revenue? Does your change align with the goals and strategies of the organizations (Larian, WotC)?

I think breaking mirrors give you bane in general. Very superstitious in that case (haven't tried extensively). I am curious if anyone had tried it on the petrified drow in the UD, I was going to try but forgot where to get the oil or if it was a random lootable. (I assume they will still be hostile drow, bc they are even after spectator is killed)

I want to try that to free the petrified drow, but as a drow and see if it does anything different, they did say your race gives different reactions.

Other people have already said it doesn't matter and they still attack you if you are Drow.

yeah I assume they are coded to be hostile, I was just a bit curious if unpetrifying one out of combat as opposed to the spectator doing so while in a combat state would make a difference.

In my playthrough interacting with the mirror brought SH to PC in the cutscene. Every time. It was curious because I have splitted the party and left her with rest at elf. Maybe she has some dialogue there unused for now? Shadowfell related?
