Its novel to fail occasionally, to fail constantly is not fun at all.. And anyone who enjoys failing constantly, i'm sorry to say they need to seek help.. Its not healthy to be enjoying being degraded by a game or anything.

And I don't think BG3 is anywhere near in danger of that. If someone is failing constantly then they are doing something wrong. It possible some folks are failing lots of proficiency checks because they don't have the necessary proficiency or ability scores . . . but if that is the case they shouldn't be attempting those checks. BG3 does a pretty good job of providing multiple skill alternatives to attempt things.
