One thing to do is split the party. After one party member is spotted, others get unlimited sneak movement until they attack or get spotted. Not sure if it will stay this way, but I had my party members running circles around spider matriarch after one of them got combat locked. The best part is that all engaged enemies are suspended while you are doing this.
