There are glowing gems sticking out of the ground, walls, and stalactites all over the Underdark. You can smash them and get a bunch of these little Purple Fluorite Shards. I found the best way to mine them is by using Eldritch Blast, since it can reach all the hard to get to places and the stones are vulnerable to Force damage.

I think I got about every one possible in the Underdark, and I ended up with around 500 of the shards.





As you can see, they're worth a lot of coin!

You, too, can live the high life of an Eldritch Blast miner. All in the beauty and safety of the peaceful Underdark.

A mace also works, but there are a lot of the crystals up high that can't be reached with melee.

I had Lae'zel mine them with a maul, and you can also shoot down the unreachable ones with a bow if you don't have a warlock handy.

There are even some overhanging ones in case you missed those, I wonder what all of the total to when selling with charisma 18

You can, but they aren't resistant to Eldritch Blast's damage

I killed the minotaurs and didn't get any big greatclub.

An interesting option. It didn't occur to me to try to attack the crystals. I like that the game has such easy-to-miss details.

reanimate it with Glut then you can find it in the minotaur's inventory. or you can throw the weapon. forgot to mention that, sorry

Yes they actually sell for 10gp each IIRC but to be fair making GP in EA is not really a problem at all, in my second playthrough I finished with 10k gp and basically bought all the magic weapons, armor and items I needed.

Mining in the Underdark seems like a step up from looting tin plates. Nice tip.

All we gotta do is get Glut to raise a bunch of creatures, and get all of them mining. Almost pure profit!

That is likely because the UI does such a poor job in highlighting targetable objects. I still have to find a way to destroy the webs in the phase spider lair, because I just can not target it.

That should work simply by selecting e.g. a fire cantrip (Gale) and hovering over the web, which should display it as a target with, I think, 4 hp or something.
