Remember the good old days? No one screamed like a seven year old, and said stuff like:
"Why is this game so much like Baldur's Gate? Planescape: Torment is basically Baldur's Gate 2! And Icewind Dale is even worse!"
"OMFG Why does Kagain have a 20 CON, this is the worst AD&D experience ever! Black Isle studios clearly wasn't up to the task, I want my money back"
"This story makes no sense. I cannot save Gorion, no matter what I do, I just lost half an hour worth of pleasing this guy, finally get my level 9 wizard and you killed him! WTF Black Isle!?"
"How come Minsc gets an Animal Companion and I don't? I demand animal companions for the protagonist, or Boo written out entirely! GIVE IT NOW"
"I didn't have Minsc OR Jaheira with me when I killed Sarevok! Why are they in this dungeon!? Give me Shar Teel NOW! I WANT HER NOW! FIX IT"
"What, my Lawful Good Paladin with a 20 reputation is suddenly a Child of Murder? FIX THIS SHIT!"
Funnily enough, some of these things were in fact things that people wanted; and that' sfair enough. Seriously. But do you remember how we went about it? We played the game, had a good time with it; discussed how certain things would make sense, or how an alternate approach would be fun... And someone would mod in a 19 CON stat for Kagain and those that wanted that. Or the BG1 companions for BG2. And you could tailor it to your needs. And it will be just like that for this.
Have some patience. Show some maturity. Calm the Hells down.
