I mean, of ALL the features that could take a certain amount of work to be implemented, a six-men party is arguably the least challenging one.
If they only wanted, Larian could have it up and running as an extra option in a matter of HOURS.

In fact, it's basically already in the game, except it requires some unorthodox savefile editing or the creation of a 4-players multiplayer session (plus NPCs) to be unlocked.
Which in my opinion just makes it even more annoying that they are not giving it a chance as a publicly available option to see what people like the most. Four or six.

Party control in Baldur's Gate 3 is a complete mess that begs to be addressed. SAY NO TO THE TOILET CHAIN
