The lore guy has still to show up. I know only a few things.

But I think they assume you're the only way to prevent the ressurection of Bhaal. If they kill you, they will have to fight at the end of ToB. Not you ^^
Also I think it's safe to say you can fuck up the solar if you decide too, so she's kinda right to help you rather than try to stop you.

Especially when it comes to the canonic end the original child of bhaal decided to seal Bhaal's power away and never touched it. Bhaal never resurrected as a consequence of his adventures. The solar made the right choice.

Few years later he got killed and Bhaal came back as the result. But the BG protagonist tried to prevent it at all cost at first(I might be simplifying things here, but that's pretty much the idea). Preventing your death was the way to stop Bhaal.

"
Abdel Adrian" -> That's the name of the BG protagonist if you want to google things out.

Alt+ left click in the inventory on an item while the camp stash is opened transfers the item there. Make it a reality.

I know about this abdel guy. I just find it odd that a solar would take interest in Bhaal like that. Not only that, but by the end of the game she offers me to take Bhaal's place as the new god of murder. I'm a goodie two shoes so I didn't take it, but I still don't understand her motives in the game. And it's the same criticism I have for bg3 - if the game can't explain it sufficiently without forcing me to look for outside sources it shouldn't be in it.

Yeah I kinda agree with that. But it's always a problem with games /films taking place in a vaste lore like this. Not too look too far- > Witcher. Many people found the fixation of gerald about yennefer's scent super cringe and silly. When in fact the existence of that aspect of Yen has a really tragic background to it. A background you discover only if you read the books. Or watch the new series ^^

So kinda the same shit here. Why did she help us? Only people familiar with D&D know.

Yeah okay, I'll bite. Perhaps people found it a bit silly, but it is hardly an important world setting detail. I would say the witcher games did a much better job at establishing the world and stand on their own than Baldur's Gate ever did. it's not really a fair comparison because it's been 20 years and even BioWare improved immensely on that aspect of their games since BG.
