I want to propose to supplement this small quest and add more dialogue options.
1. Add a d20 roll so that we ourselves conduct this test to our companion (for example, Shadow Heart or Astarion) under the guidance of this priest
2. Add a roll d20 to offer our companion to be Abdirak assistant in passing the test. That is, for example, for the main character to be beaten by Laezel or Astarion.
3. Add suitable weapons to him, which he will give us during the quest. The standard mace does not suit him, for example, it can be a battle whip.
I have already written a proposal to replace his weapon, but the idea of how to improve the quest itself appeared only now.

Also, at the moment in the game, the blessing of Loviathar is given only under certain conditions .. let the priest not be silent about this, I did not immediately understand what was required of me.

I think this is not difficult to do, because many will find it more pleasant to do such things with their companions and not with a random guy from the goblin camp.
This is already in the game anyway, I only suggest adding a few dialog options.

To be perfectly honest, your obsession with this guy is starting to feel a bit unhealthy, to say nothing of the creepy factor.

2) Aim for head - kill him instantly. (And lost it )
