Quoting The Dude: "Well thats just like your opinion man." Keep the romance for those that like it and have a toggle in settings for those who don't.
You could always use the chat option of "NO" and stop the romance right then and there. Just like every other RPG out their with dialogue choices where you can stop the romance before it starts.
Come to think about it just like IRL, or have I completely missed the toggle somewhere down the line?
