I think that changed in this last hotfix. My hag encounter was pretty different this time -- when she went aggro she delivered some insults unique to my race which put me at disadvantage and I couldn't kill her in her hut. Which was fun.
I snuck past the masks and when she didn't show again until I used Fairy Fire to start the encounter. She set Myrina's cage on fire and called to masks for help -- they gave their dialogue options but never showed up. After the hag was dead they were no longer hostile but also not there.
