I found this which gives an overview. Also forgot that you can leach a soul coin to heal yourself. There are also rules about how many you can hold -- good party members are continually troubled by the screams of agony coming from the coin. Releasing the soul from its torment is a good act but doesn't have an entirely good end -- the soul goes the river Styx and has memories wiped away and become a lemure.
