I don't understand the fuss on why people complain that the is a romance option... if they don't like it they don't HAVE to romance a character? It's an option in case you do. What's wrong with each player making their own choices? It's faithful to DnD.
I've said it already, but it's a problem because the companions are trying to romance the PC, not the other way around. (And they do so in a "weird sex cult" way, addtionally making most/all of them seem... very horny, to put it politely, which would be only fitting for Astarion imo.)
Romance should always be player-initiated - or, even better, there should be a toggle for blocking all romance interactions.
