Hell, in the Exandria (Critical Role) universe, firearms are extremely rare. The dude who invented them, for a time at least, tried to hunt anyone caught with one down to limit the spread of them. I'm pretty sure the subclass wasn't even included in the Wildemount campaign book.
So gunslingers are a hard no.
