The issue i want to discuss is in, as i seen so far, game is much more favorable for force killing way of solving things, for example if you meet some neutral-negative npc and you can trick them and evade fight, or kill them, game rewards you only if you kill them (Exp point + may be some rare gear). But as it's rollplaying game sometimes i want to act different way, may be stealth sneak, or dialog trick, but i'm fear that i lose some exp that result in my chars power lvl and lost gear that is power + lore content. So i'm realy interest if larian noticed this, and are they doing something to balance in some way different playstyles. Thank you.

Yeah, right now you do not get anything for trying to come to a peaceful solution. Combat is the rewarding, yet time-consuming, option.

Yeah, I am hoping that this has to do with the exp cap in EA.
But there really needs to be exp rewards or something in the full game.

Larian addressed it and said it will happen in the future

Could you link to where they said it please?
I haven't actually heard anything about it myself.

It was quite a while ago, but I saw it on Reddit. I'll try to find it

Oh don't worry if you can't find it, I thought you had it on hand.
I'll take your word for it smile .

Haven't any of you gained a level after a dialog? Minor spoiler - like the fisherman tricked into digging out the Mind Flayer. Obviously, you get XP (and some weirdly underpowered gear) if you kill them, but you also get XP if you send them away without killing them. I have not paid attention to the amount, but you can get from level 1 to level 3 just doing a lot of exploring and dialogs with very little fighting. So this thread seems weird like I could see discussing the amount of XP, but it seems to imply there isn't any which is untrue.

Hope you are right about xp from dialogs like fisherman, or other incounters in wich npc just go away when dialog is done. I started this topic thinking about op 2handed sword and 18 int tiara, also there is alot semi-neutral npc that are red, like rogues near cript, spiders and bunch of goblins, realy hope larian balance amount of xp, so ppl who play sneak or not hostile gain same lvl as those ppl who fight alot, at checkpoints like some important bosses, or acts ends, coz fight 4 lvl with 4 lvl not the same that fight 4 lvl with 3 (not speaking about 5v3).

Decided to test this, and I was totally wrong. What I was seeing was XP given for starting/advancing a quest. So like when you come across Lae'zel and talk the Tieflings into walking away instead of killing them, you get XP for Advancing the Lae'zel quest. You get nothing for avoiding fighting them. Avoid the fishermen and temple raiders...same no XP for avoiding the fight. So...yeah I agree that there should be.
