Decided to look it up a bit. Came across this. Skim read it mostly but I'm already seeing some phrases sticking out.
https://www.thegamer.com/baldurs-gate-3-bhaal-what-happened/What we've completely overlooked is that Bhaal, being a god or murder, is SUPPOSED to come back when his children die. So if anything the fact that Bhaalspawn are dying is only further adding proof to him coming back.
Here's a quote from the article.
It turned out that the Bhaalspawn saga had yet to end. A Bhaalspawn named Viekang had survived the conflict and he confronted Adrian on the streets of Baldur's Gate. It's unclear exactly what happened during the battle, but one of the fighters was slain, and the other transformed into a monster, which had to be killed by the Flaming Fist mercenaries.
With the last two Bhaalspawn gone, the remaining pieces of Bhaal's essence were freed, and he was able to return. Bhaal has since returned to his former position as the god of murder.Btw, it's quite possible the current BG3 game is the start of another trilogy. But if I have to wait three games to face Bhaal once and for all after his resurrection then REEEEEEE!! At some point you just got to let the players deal with it once and for all with no possibility for resurrection before the older guys pass away and die of old age. XD
