Which patch do you have applied? If none, please download the patch over
here As far as I know, there's not a problem with Bronthion in particular...
Make sure the color depth of your desktop is set to 16 bit.
And that all non-essential programs are shut down. (e.g. antivirus scanner, emailprogr, ICQ,...)
