Yeah well discrimination has been overlooked since the dawn of time, who knows, maybe a little over reaction is warranted. It might even do some good, though I am rather more skeptical about that. I tend to think civility is important though and am willing to overlook the more simple minded shit.

I saw a couple of threads here, where ppl asking for "special" attitude, of npc you encounter, on drow playble characters, that is more close to dnd lore. So why larian can't modify and add system that worked preaty good in DOS2 for undead playable characters... in most cases hide who you are or there will be problems.
There are specific drow dialogues, as mentioned in this thread, sadly these dialogues will only be to your advantage thus far. There could be something in the future, but for some reason I doubt that.
