I don't agree with the interpretation of the magic initiate feat letting you cast spell scrolls from the selected class's list. The feat isn't supposed to be a substitute for taking a level drop into a spellcasting class.

And since multiclassing is yet another way to open up scroll use, they definitely shouldn't be available to everyone.

Some dedication for a Fighter is definitely needed to open up this possibility rather than just leaving Int at 8 and wizarding away with whatever scrolls you find or buy.

Isn't multiclassing into Wizard just much more powerful than picking Magic Initiate? You get proper spell books, more spell slots, Arcane Recovery, and you get to spend that ASI on something else. I don't see the problem in Magic Initiate letting you use level 1 scrolls?

I do think there are way too many scrolls in BG3, especially divine. Divine scrolls don't make sense in the first place. The gods have Clerics as their conduit, but also let any random person be their conduit through scrolls?
