I was so annoyed by the unreliability of spellcasters hitchances, I used Gale only to lit people or ground up with that non-spell slot using fireball.
So that someone could throw an oil or smokebarrel in.
Now THATS what I had call a highlvl fireball spell.
And it has a nice hitchance too.
As in - always a hit, it seems.
