I suppose there is perhaps one modern monster which they probably did not have in ancient times due to limitations in the architecture of a typical domicile. I hope this horror is more imaginary than inspired by anything real, though admittedly reality is often more varied than one expects. The sheer terror which this abomination elicits from the depths of my soul makes me loathe to even mention such things to the innocent readers here on the 'boards, and yet I am compelled to do so.
