Of course not, but in any game you have to learn how things work, so having that pre-knowledge just makes that process faster.
You can open a combat log in the bottom right of the screen, there is some button to open it up. Mouse over her attacks and see what the numbers are.
Is she attacking things in the darkness? I don't believe Gith have dark vision, so that would incur a penalty.
