The Underdark is kind of like this epic subterrain territory which is maybe not supposed to be that easily reached?
With enough time you will find a way eventually.
Currently it feels just right. Its not like we enter a treasure vault of course.
But finding a way into something so famous in Forgotten Realms should not be too easy.
Not every second cave we come into leads into the Hoard of a Dragon either.
Yes, but it shouldn't be damn near impossible to get to either it takes away the fun of the game especially when you've got a matriarch with 6 times your hit points and can take out a 3rd level in one hit. To me, that is plain overkill. I got tired of spending 4 or 5 minutes just to reload the damn game. And no I'm a full level 3 party my main PC is a Ranger/knight with when buffed out has around a level 20 AC. And yet the Matriach spider which has over 100 hit pts is able to get a Critical hit and instantly kill my Ranger/knight or take her down to 1 or 2 pts and if I hit the matriarch I might do 2 or 3 pts worth of damage meanwhile she's done as much as 30 plus damage in 1 hit. How is this overkill suppose to make for enjoyable gameplay? To me this isn't enjoyable and if this is the way for which Larian makes their games it will be the last one I ever purchase from them.
I'm not saying that the game has to be easy but it doesn't have to be overkill either because both of these ways make a game for which can not be properly enjoyed.
