yup I have the same issue. Steam says it's starting to load. I see the opening screen then it crashes.
hopefully you get a response from Larian, or someone else. I didn't. Don't mind an Early Access game long as I can play it. Right now can't even play it, and well past the refund by steam.
doing some digging, one problem may be the antivirus, someone says norton is blocking it. Yet I don't use norton, and have tried a different antivirus, still says nope sorry. Start then instantly turns itself off.
