Not sure about mini games or animations/cinematics. I guess that's on Larian's hands but the rest mechanic of D&D is a real and an interresting part of the game.

That kind of window could really suit a D&D game, but also a strategy video game.
It's even more interresting now that we have 2 short rest/day because features and hit dice are reset after long rest. It's more choices and decisions.

I'm not usual enough with D&D to create a list of things players/classes can do during short rest that could be implemented in "the short rest gameplay mechanic" of BG3... But I really think it could be a good addition.

Rest has always been criticized by players since the beginning of the EA because... Let's be honnest at the moment it just suck...
Larian has something to do about that and I guess offering players something more true to D&D could really be an awesome improvement.
