I've had the same problem across all of the patches, it's clearly not random as I have got to the point as where I always save before going to camp but not matter how many times I reload I still end up with the same fight. Through my numerous party creations I have had to fight : Scratch, who is far too endearing to kill; Astarion, Wyll and Gale. There is no logic behind why these party members would attack, it does very much spoil the experience though, so be worth fixing.
