I agree with you.

About visibility/hide/advantages and backstab, Larian should really look at Solasta's new update.

The mechanic is very good and very well balanced.

In Solasta you don't have any advantages attacking from behind... Just like in D&D (don't come with your facing rules please......). But of course you can have an advantage if you're hidden and surprised your opponent.

If you face an ennemy a lign is created between this creature and the ennemy and this line does not dissapear when you're behind (the ennemy saw you going in its back... He don't see you with it's eyes but he know you're there).

If you want to hide again and have an advantage, you have to break this line. To break it you can hide (obstacle between you and the creature) and I guess this line also breaks by itself after a few turn you're not in the ennemy's field of view and don't deal it any damages.

Not sure those EN explanations are good... But these devs find (one more time) a proper way to implement the rules in a video game. It's balanced, interresting and "realistic".

I guess Larian can find.something too...
