I then passed the intimidation check to get out of it, and then the game soft locked like in the image above. Trying to reload from here gave me the "can't save mid dialogue" bug message, similar to saving and reloading near the Windmill scene. To get the ability to save re-enabled I had to quit the game, and the run task manager, and then end task on steam.
