Hi guys,

I already look but I don't find anything...
Does anyone know if it's possible to respec companions abilities ?

I'd like to create a new game with 3 custom characters + wyll/gale/shadowheart but I really don't like their abilities.

I already played the game a lot and I'd like to create "perfect" builds on this one while playing with 6 party members.

I plan to change shadowheart's subclass through mods but I'd really like to respec the abilities of all companions.

Do you know if that's possible and how ?

I am also curious if this will be possible. I know Larian is planning to allow us to run with four custom characters but I would also like some party banter which I doubt the mercenary characters will be able to do. I just wish I can change their abilities to mimic what I would have in mind and I would still be able to keep what I consider a custom party but still have the banter.

I'd like they allow us to custom origin companions as much as possible at the character creation depending what is story driven for each of them (abilities, subclasses for some, chosen spells, fighting style,...).

I.E Shadowheart's deity has to be Shar but I guess she could be light or life domain.

Anyway I'm surpised no one has an answer.
I hoped cheaters or modders could have helped me.

Unfortunately even if they allowed customization of origin companions, Shadowheart would have to remain Trickery or Death as those are the domains of Shar. Anything else would go against the established lore.

I have to admit that I don't know the lore arround gods enough, but being able to choose between 2 domain if that's necessary for her story is fine to me.

It's better than no choice and it's still customization even if it's limited.

It would lead for her specific exemple to custom :
- abilities
- domain (2 choices)
- spells choices
- proficiencies
- (maybe more if possible)

This could be a great way to "respec" while keeping everything that is story related safe.

Such customization before the beginning of the game would also avoid the non sense "respec mirror" (from a RP point of view)

"Origin custom characters" are probably very interresting in MP but they're not so much in SP...
"Origin custom companions" should be really interresting in SP and could limit the need of bland mercenaries.

You may still get a chance to switch her to Life. I suspect Shadowheart was a priestess of Selune but was brainwashed to become a worshipper of Shar. That I suspect is her big secret.

At any rate I agree with you. I wish we can customize our origin companions as much as possible before starting the game.

I'd love to be able to retrospect them as well. Especailly Shadowheart which I would love to be a life cleric. Of course currently she's got a great 19 AC
