My "home" in Morrowind (first just a random house without an NPC in it that I had claimed and pretended was mine, and later the manor you can receive) was literally just piles and piles of books. I tried the same in Oblivion and Fallout 3 (and New Vegas), but the funky physics engine made it unfun to stock them -- keeping them in barrels just isn't the same. At least in Skyrim they gave you book shelves for your books, which was a nice touch, even if there never was enough shelf room for everything!

Collecting books in BG3 just doesn't feel the same, though...

Morrowind was the first (and last) time I really did take care of the house - and it turned out to be a messy library... with swords.. and armors... but mostly hand placed books.
