I mean what do you do that is completely an habit and unrelated to the needs of the game or explicitily defies role playing.
As I said in another post one of my habits is to hoard items, I wast minutes and minutes searching in any single barrel, chest, armoir, container to collect objects.
Something I wasn't conscious becomes so when I started my new run with my full drow Tav, he has enhanced dark vision, whenever I see a candle, a chandelier, a bracer I have to light it. Again lots and lots of time lost assuring that all possible lights are lighted up (what's more curious is that I never use torchs in dark dungeons).
less peculiar: I don't sell the books or mails or maps or messages I find during my explorations.
Also even if I play an ass*e I'm not able to choose the arsh or cruel answers.
What about your peculiar habits?

Kind of reminds me of Wildstar, they based game elements from mmo player habits. So for example, builder, explorer, an so on. Pretty sure there was a post about player habits a while back already. Tend to take my time and explore the map & checking everything out.

When I left the monastery, they wanted them back. I agree and concur with the OCD candle lighting. Cannot pass without firing them up.

I like to hang upside down from the rafters and play in my birthday sui...er...oh...that's not what you meant? Well not exactly. But why don't dance to this rithm? I count the steps of stairs. Always. In new as know places. I know that the stairs from my flat to the front gates of the condo are 24, nevertheless everytime I take the stairs (both when going out or returning home) I count them. Another really weird trait of mine is the habitus to shake my umbrella from water.. ... when it's raining and I'm walking under the rain. I have the need to stop under any covering place and shake the water from the umbrella.

... I always use the same bedroll when I take a long rest. I don't sell books and store them in camp and I have to explore every inch of the map - I can't stand it if a part of it is still black.

I talk to everyone in camp each night, even if they have nothing to say.
I usually nip back to the day-time camp each morning and play a few rounds of fetch with Scratch, because he's a good dog, and enrichment is important.
I take off my armour and weapons when I go to bed each night.
I also light every lightable object I can find, and I generally fully explore all options for a scene or puzzle, in exploration or dungeon paces, even once I've already solved it.
I try to clean up blood stains as best I can, especially around camp when they inevitably occur. Right not this is disappointing becuase my only recourse is rain, and then I don't have a good way of getting rid of the water.
I always looks for interesting places to have my strong party members throw me, that couldn't otherwise be reached. I've found a few nifty things doing this.

I don't like killing animals in games, I always try to avoid that. Of course, the spiders in that cave wouldn't let me. But all of my characters are trying to be nice to animals and children.

...You can toss each other? I did not know that. You can, if one of you is a halfling. Halflings only weigh 35lb; Anyone with a +2 in strength or more can toss a halfling pretty far. "Toss the halfling" is a time-honoured and much loved tradition of dungeons and dragons and I was so pleased to see it permitted here.

Yes, I'm playing s halfling in a tabletop game right now and the first action suggested was "toss the halfling up on the ledge to scout". It failed, and alerted the enemies above too

Solo 'lonewolf' player with nearly 600 hours playing EA BG3 testing various solo builds, equipment and weapon/weapon combo load outs, etc. I ran 'full party' for about 6 hours on my first EA BG3 playthrough to get an understanding of mechanics, encounters, etc. Been running/playing solo 'lonewolf' toons/characters since.
My typical habits amount to this:
Determine and create the build I am going to solo with for a particular solo playthrough. Get to Druid's Grove. From Druid's Grove, I start hunting/looking for the items I want for the solo lone toon/character to use. Commence killing nearly everything in the game except for Druid's Grove and Myconid Colony.

Hey, actually, there needs to be at least one halfling companion character so everyone gets to experience the glory of halfling tossing.
I just started up a new game to try it out and it's a shame that you take damage when you do it xD

In short, I have severe rpg playing symptoms I do the same. I also do save scumming. I don't think anyone plays slower than I do. In this game resting has no downside, so I have no problems with getting injured or using all spells in a fight. In Kingmaker I even reloaded when I took much damage in a fight and I save scummed healing spells or potions. I cast spells only when needed. The time limit made me paranoid. In NWN2 there were persistent spells and in WotR are epic feats that buffs last 24h. This helps me a lot because then I use buffs more often.

I feel like exploring everything completely, if I know which way to go in order to progress the story I will first go anywhere and everywhere except where I need to go and save that for last, I also go around in circles: into the underdark, out of the underdark through a different exit, into the underdark again through a third entrance, did the same thing with Fort Joy in DOS2, escaped it and entered it again multiple times. Basically I find every single possible alternative solution and route in a single playthrough. I hate myself for it but at the same time I just can't stop. It becomes super silly sometimes, if there are two routes to reach my destination I will explore the first route and right before I reach my destination, right before clicking to go to the next area, I will backtrack all the way back and explore the second route, like i already know that I will use both routes that Halsin suggests.

I don't use consumables if not absolutely necessary and I exhausted all other options - because I might need them later... a time that usually never comes because I might need them later...
I collect books in every game... give me a home with a bookcase to display them all, not containers... ah... who am I kidding, I don't really care enough about maintaining digial homes... but I do keep the books and letters.
I really don't like using spell casters... because they are whimsey and crave too much attention (talking about gameplay)... and I hate that I need to learn their whole spellbooks to deal with them... but they are usefull little buggers....
Finally - style over substance... I care more about my characters fitting my vision/style than min-maxing the game.

This is why I only play Paladins of Brandobarris. Not picking every lock is against my religion! I collect books in every game... give me a home with a bookcase to display them all, not containers... ah... who am I kidding, I don't really care enough about maintaining digial homes... but I do keep the books and letters. My "home" in Morrowind (first just a random house without an NPC in it that I had claimed and pretended was mine, and later the manor you can receive) was literally just piles and piles of books. I tried the same in Oblivion and Fallout 3 (and New Vegas), but the funky physics engine made it unfun to stock them -- keeping them in barrels just isn't the same. At least in Skyrim they gave you book shelves for your books, which was a nice touch, even if there never was enough shelf room for everything! Collecting books in BG3 just doesn't feel the same, though...
